Kevin E. Clinesmith is identified in the federal statement of offense as a lawyer admitted to practice in November 2007. The same filing says he was employed full-time by the FBI as an assistant general counsel in the National Security and Cyber Law Branch of the Office of General Counsel from July 12, 2015, to September 21, 2019.
The D.C. Court of Appeals disciplinary opinion, In re Kevin E. Clinesmith, No. 21-BG-18, uses the same office and the same end date. It identifies him as D.C. Bar Registration No. 984265. Those two records lock the person. They do not invent a later job, a date of birth, or a portrait.
The plea papers say he was assigned to provide legal support to FBI personnel working on Crossfire Hurricane, including applications under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. That assignment is a later episode. This page is the title and the dates.
