Allegation: on August 14, 2020, Sean Davis at The Federalist published Carter Page’s comments under the headline that Clinesmith “put my very life at risk.” That is Page’s claim, as the outlet reported it. It is not a finding by Judge Boasberg. Editorial adjectives in the headline are the outlet’s.

Official/court finding: on January 19, 2021, the court granted in part and denied in part Carter W. Page’s motion under the Crime Victims’ Rights Act. The docket records that Page could speak for up to ten minutes at sentencing and that no restitution was awarded.

The plea papers still use “Individual #1.” Reporting identifies that person as Page. The conviction is Clinesmith’s, on the false writing. It is not a judgment that Page was a Russian agent, and it is not a judgment adopting Page’s “life at risk” language.
